BackRoads Events will be back on the Island this summer to present the 2nd Annual Sól Grass Music Festival. The two-day bluegrass festival will be held June 17-18, 2022 at the Washington Island Campground (745 East Side Road, Washington Island, WI 54246).
Festival organizers said they believe Washington Island is the perfect place for festival-goers to enjoy a taste of nature and to take part in a truly authentic music experience. The island is just a short, beautiful ferry ride off the tip of the famous Door County Peninsula.
The weekend will be a time to relax and reconnect with friends and family, make new friends, explore the island, look at the stars, pick a new tune, and of course enjoy performances from 10 of the best national touring, regional and local bands.
From a music-lovers perspective, the 2022 Sól Grass Music Festival line-up is stellar. Horseshoes and Hand Grenades will be the headliners, joined by Them Coulee Boys, Feed the Dog, The Cody SIsters, The Honeygoats, Buffalo Galaxy, Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs, Julian Hagen, Steve Stone and the Washington Island Eastsiders and Dusty Bottle Boxcar Band.
Music starts at 3:00 pm on Friday and Saturday nights and ends at 11:00 pm. However, the evening does not end there. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring their instruments and enjoy spontaneous jams with fellow campers and band members. Even if you do not play an instrument, you’ll enjoy the late night music scene.
