For Passengers and/or vehicles, take one of the Washington Island ferries. Follow Hwy 42 or 57 through the beautiful Door Peninsula to Sister Bay, then stay on Hwy 42 to Northport Pier, two miles east of Gills Rock.

The Rock Island Ferry (The Karfi) – (May to October only)
Once you’re here, you can take the Karfi to visit beautiful Rock Island, Wisconsin’s only 900-acre state park, that is also an island! Tour the oldest lighthouse in these waters – Potowatomi – and other treasured sites on the Island.
The Karfi dock at Jackson Harbor is a 9-mile drive from the main Island ferry dock at Detroit Harbor, and provides service for visitors to Rock Island.

The Island Clipper – (May to October/passengers only)
For Passenger Excursions with a narrated crossing, enjoy a scenic ride to Washington Island via the Island Clipper (Voight Marine – Gills Rock/Hwy 42). Docks at Detroit Harbor on Washington Island.
