Sievers School of Fiber Arts on Jackson Harbor Road has received national recognition for offering more than 30 classes each year to adults in all levels of weaving, knitting, basketry, quilting and more. Dormitory facilities are available. Professional teachers/fiber artists share their knowledge with the annual student enrollment of 350. Original fiber arts and fine crafts are sold along with yarns for knitting and weaving, fiber art books and supplies. Open daily, late-May through October.
Sievers is also home of a mail-order business that receives inquiries and orders from around the world, Sievers Benchwork builds pine modular layout tables for model railroad hobbyists.
