Experience the Midwest’s Largest Lavender Farm, Featuring 20,000 Blooming Plants

Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm, Shop & Le Café are open for 2020 Season

Fragrant Isle Lavender Farm is one of Washington Island’s most popular destinations, offering an opportunity to experience healthy, Island-grown lavender in a beautiful farm setting.

Fragrant Isle’s founders/owners, Edgar and Martine Anderson, say their mission is to educate visitors about lavender and its many uses and benefits — all while you enjoy the farm’s beauty and phenomenal natural aroma.

Fragrant Isle’s Lavender Field Experience allows visitors to stroll through beautiful lavender fields for just $5 per person (children under 12 years old are free, but must be accompanied by an adult).

Lunch is available daily at Le Café’s outdoor dining terrace, overlooking 20,000 blooming lavender plants. The weekly luncheon menu is available from 11am–2pm daily (summer hours).

In July and August, the farm features pick-your-own-lavender-bouquets from the Fragrant Isle U-Pick Field.

You can learn first-hand from lavender experts how the business cultivates, harvests, processes and steam-distills fresh lavender during harvest-time. View the distilling of therapeutic grade lavender essential oil for its many healthy uses — the farm’s lavender plants are grown in an all-natural environment and are pesticide-free.

You can also explore Fragrant Isle’s “All Things Lavender” retail locations on both Washington Island and in Fish Creek, where you’ll find Door County’s largest selection of luxurious artisan lavender products, more than 250 unique items. The company works with select U.S. vendors to produce small batches, and you can sample a wide array of lavender items for head-to-toe uses, each formulated for healthy use.

The on-site Le Café restaurant offers sweet and savory dishes. Choose between the outdoor dining terrace and its weekly luncheon menu, or pick up a fresh “Grab N Go” sandwich, the signature Chicken salad, or varied chocolates, candies, ice creams and macaroons.

Fragrant Isle is proud to be a Discover Wisconsin 2018 and 2019 Choice Destination and a recipient of TripAdvisor’s 2019 and 2020 Awards of Excellence.
