The annual Washington Island Lions Club Fish Derby. For hearty anglers who dare to adventure onto the ice to “get the big one.” Cash prizes go to the top category winners.

Each year features a “surprise” event, plus food specials at several family-owned eateries, fabulous bake sales (fundraisers sponsored by the Washington Island Schools), great musical entertainment, and an Island Players performance of “On Golden Pond” on Feb. 8 (7 pm) and Feb. 9 (1 pm).
