Island Players/Red Barn Acting Camp

Island Players will offer the Acting Camp experience again, co-sponsored by the Red Barn. The camp will be held 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18 at the Red Barn.
Campers will have an opportunity to SHINE. Our goal is to give the children more confidence in themselves and a better understanding of what it takes to be an actor. Through fun and encouragement, they may take away a love of the stage that will last a lifetime. Our activities will include games and skills building exercises designed to enhance the experienced actor’s repertoire as well as help newcomers become more comfortable with the stage and speaking in public. Listening skills, teamwork and creativity are just a few of the things we will develop while having A LOT of FUN! The week will finish with a workshop performance and cast party celebration.
The cost is $80 for the week ($60 for additional children from the same family.) To reserve a spot, please send half of the tuition – $40 – with an application form to Island Players. The remaining $40 will be due on the first day of camp.
