DESCRIPTION:Concert at 7:30pm includes Strauss\, Nocturno\, Schubert\, The Shepherd on the Rock\, Tomasi\, Cing Danses Profanes et Sacrees\, Mendelssohn\, Allegro Brillant\nMendelssohn String Quartet in A Minor. \nEvery year in August\, Washington Island welcomes its Music Festival\, a series of concerts led by Artistic Director Samantha George\, violinist and professor of music at Lawrence University. World-class musicians donate their talents to the Festival\, spending two weeks living and performing on the Island and establishing strong ties to the community. The Festival’s events are now the heart of the Island’s summer music schedule. \n
